From building a startup company to help communities, save the environment, and fight poverty to making her money work for her, MJ Loleng's power move is all the inspiration you need to hear today. For one thing, she herself had to muscle through poverty in order to earn a degree. For another, the reality of the job market for fresh grads out there is, well, cold.
It must have been paralyzing to young MJ. But not for too long. She had a better idea, a vision bigger than herself — and sold it she did.
Have you heard about coconut charcoal as a cheaper, greener, and cleaner charcoal alternative? That's her BIG idea that is now saving thousands of trees from being cut down for firewood consumption and putting food on the table for struggling communities. The startup company goes by the name Ecobriqs Charcoal Briquettes.
Then, they faced a major setback a.k.a. the pandemic. An excruciating time for everybody, but a great time for her to look for more opportunities.
Here and now, she's still running the startup she built from scratch while growing her own business. And she's just getting started.
